What's in the Archives

The Talent Historical Society's Jackson Country Pioneer Index contains contains a listing of over 19,000 surnames of the early settlers of Southern Oregon, from about 1853 - 1900.

Viewing the Pioneer Index

The Pioneer Index is sorted alphabetically by last name. Each listing contains the individual's name, a unique personal ID, their birthdate, and the individual's father's and mother's names. (Please note that for some individuals, not all of this information may be known).

To browse the Index, simply click on the desired alphabetical link in the left-hand area of this site (these are entitled "Pioneers A-B", "Pioneers C-D", etc.).
