Talent through the Years
Bagley Canning Company
In 1910, Dr. Bagley came from Minnesota and purchased 60 acres of orchard on Anderson Creek. He started a small cannery on his ranch, but soon outgrew the facility. Courting his business to downtown, the citizens of Talent donated the old mill site just north of the railroad depot for the development of a new facility. In 1912, the new Bagley Canning Company buiding opened for business. In 1924 the Bagley Canning company relocated to Ashland, and the Talent facility was closed.
