Orchard Hands
The first fruit trees in the Rogue River Valley were black walnut and pear trees. The Billings family carried the pear and black walnut seeds with them in their journey across the U.S. in covered wagons. They settled and planted their seeds in the Valley View area in 1854. (source: talentid.org)
